Four brothers in the Russian mainland inherit their father’s restaurant and try to keep it in business. When the great Stare of Russia visits their restaurant, the masks drop.
‘Honger!’ is a cheerful, absurd performance, inspired by Jarry’s ‘Ubu Roi’. DEFDEF focuses on the search for the inner self of the characters, making one’s own choices and doing things your own way.
Arnaud Deflem won for ‘Honger!’ the Entreeprijs 2010 for promising young theatre makers at Festival Boulevard in Den Bosch. The performance’s colourful character and the absurd acting style have a special appeal for young people.
That’s why he decided to develop the performance further, together with Heidi De Feyter. Their cooperation resulted in an at moments hilarious performance with four characters manqué.

The performance had its first night the 4th of October 2014 in Berchem. At the beginning of 2015 there was a short tour for schools in Flanders.
